the office

so, i knew "the office" was a pretty funny show, and we've been sporting "the office" magnets on our refridgerator for about two years now (from a gift from my mom) but i had never really watched the show, only clips here and there. that is, until now. let me say, it is freaking hilarious. i cry. every episode. EVERY episode. and to just look at their expressions, especially the people in the background. especially anything dwight does. i CRACK UP! i just look for the people's expressions to see when they're about to crack up. its just about every scene. watch it from the begining. its funny sporatically, but it such a good show from the begining.

busy days

its been very busy around here the past couple of weeks. last week wesley's work schedule was pretty insane, then it was combined with several practices for the 2 gigs we have this weekend, and preparations for the halloween gathering and the birthday party of our 2 year old. so, it's been nice to have the day off of work today. well, not technically, but i am working from home, so it's still nice. i made biscuits for breakfast and watched knox play excitedly on his new "4 wheeler" from his Papaw and Mamaw. i have to admit, its pretty much one of the cutest things that you ever did see when he rides it in his wranglers and john deere boots.
wesley and i have gotten into yet another tv series, since we finished Alias. The Shield. its really good, but i'll warn you if you don't know anything about it, it gets pretty graphic at times. we have to make sure knox is safely deep asleep before we watch it.
tonight for dinner i'm going to make loaded baked potato soup and cobb salads. i have to grocery shop today because our cabinets are looking a little scarce. but it should be a good break after knox's nap to get us out of the house. it's my week to cook for wednesday night supper at church, and some of the ladies have very graciously offered to help me cook (being that i'm about 9 months pregnant, though i feel normal) :) so, i'm also planning on making Jennifer's Squash Dressing and green bean casserole today in preparation for tomorrow night. :) yummy!

update

so, about the bug issue from the previous post. i ended up not having to worry about it for now. i was supposed to meet the bug man at the house at 12:30 friday, but wesley and i went to a funeral yesterday morning that went longer than we expected, thus missing the appointment. so, i'll have to reschedule with the bug man, and therefore giving me more time to research and figure out what to do about the situation.
some of our closest friends moved out of town today. it was a sad day. but, we wish them well.
mom, knox, and i went to the cathedral fall festival today (my grade school and high school) which was fun to see knox running around and playing the different games. he really enjoyed "go-fish" and the "duck pond." i think his favorite thing to do was climb on the "bad boy buggy" (if you don't know what this is, its a supe'd up, high quality hunting golf cart thing that is supposed to be amazing for hunting). i put in some tickets for the different raffles that i thought we'd enjoy (cash, liquor, and a tv) and then we headed home. i had expected the day to be much cooler, and in my anticipation i wore fleece pants and a light-weight, long sleeved shirt. gah!
so, tonight wes and i had nice plans for an evening out to see a hitchcock movie that the city was playing on a screen on a roped-off block down town, but because i didn't double check the timing, we missed it. :( talk about a bummer. i was so upset, buuuuut settled for catching up on tivo'ed survivor instead. look out gabon.
